Pentax PC-303
This rather battered camera was used by one of my daughters during her early teens - in the early 90s. Although superficially it may look not too different from her first camera, It actually has quite a good specification. It takes standard 35-mm film, ISO 100/200 or 400, and has a 3-element lens with infrared autofocus, autoexposure, built-in flash and motor drive, powered by 2 AA batteries. The sliding lens cover was also the on-off switch. The only problem now is that you have to tape the battery cover closed.
