Boats and the fisherman.
One of the things we like about Port d'Andratx is the fact that as well as all the expensive yachts and motor boats in the marina, it is still a working port.
The fleet of about 8 boats come in every afternoon with their catch. Some of which they sell at the market on the quay side, and a lot goes to the restaurants in the town. The rest is taken away to sell in Palma and beyond.
I couldn't resist a photo of this man mending the nets, as they do every day.
Also there are a lot of smaller traditional boats. Usually skippered by one man.
These are coming and going all the time. Sometimes they have fish, but not always. You can see these moored up the little inlet.
Then of course there are the beautiful yachts, and the very expensive looking cruisers, as seen in the last picture.
You can sit at one of the many bars and cafes with a coffee , glass of wine, or a beer, and watch the boats coming in and out all day.
A lovely way to while away a few hours!
