Toden Arakawa Line tram

Originally constructed by the Oji Electric Tram Company in the early 1900s and thereafter owned and operated by the Tokyo Metropolitan Bureau of Transportation (Toei) since 1974, the Toden Arakawa Line is arguably the only remaining tram line from the once elaborate tram network in Tokyo. Trams are somewhat rare in many cities around the world. This one runs through Higashi-Ikebukuro (east Ikebukuro) in the Toshima ward of the city.

Today, I decided to go there to catch a glimpse of it. Although there are more modern rolling stocks, this is particularly reminiscent of its history.
