Ready-made lunch in Tokyo

Food in Tokyo is abundant and readily available. There are thousands of restaurants, and many cuisines to choose from. Other than restaurants, there are also food supermarkets and convenience stores that sell food. Particularly, convenience stores are really convenient because they are open 24 hours a day.

A Japanese lunch box -- bento -- consists of a typical Japanese meal, laid out in the box very meticulously. The packages vary in shapes, sizes, price, quality and of course the content! However, shops have improvised the concept of bento to include types of food that are not typical Japanese meals.

Here's my lunch for today. When one's busy, why cook if tasty food is so readily available and affordable? Even the heating up is done inside the supermarket's microwave! (¥558 is about £4.43, US$ 7.11, EUR 5.49 by today's rates.)
