Alaska Bound

Not us -- just the people on the MV Columbia, seen leaving on its weekly voyage from Bellingham to Ketchikan this evening.

We were drinking champagne with daughter S in her room at the Chrysalis Inn and Spa, to celebrate the new job starting next week, and our new used car. This was followed by an excellent dinner,with more wine and much conversation, before saying our goodbyes. We've enjoyed spending time together this week. Tomorrow she'll be returning home to Bellevue, and life will return to what passes for normal here.
