Nesting
Today we saw five houses in five hours. Our agent worked diligently for us and drove us around in atrocious road conditions.
We saw some lovely houses and each house had something to offer. Any one of them would have done...
In the end we offered on the final house of the day which had in fact been the lead contender since we first saw the images on the website. The offer has been verbally accepted and the paperwork will be done tomorrow, eased by the fact that the vendors are personal friends of the agent.
All being well we will have our new house in May. We have every faith in the agent.
The house is almost fully renovated but requires some finishing touches. Happily the builder that worked on it is married to the agent, so we can readily engage him to finish off.
It is a lovely wee house, we have no qualms, and are looking forward to being French residents. It should be ours sometime in May. We will continue our French rambles until then just as soon as Mr Snail returns from England (for which he departs on Monday).
We will be settling in Vienne, in Limousin, a beautiful area.
The photo is of a bird nest that I spotted on a beam in our no 2 choice house today, which I feel slightly sad about not choosing. It had much to recommend it. In fact, they all did.
