Slender-billed gull

I was very pleased to see 10 of these rather rare gulls on the saltpans at Santa Luzia, just west of Tavira. Until today I'd only ever seen them twice before, once in Majorca in the late 70s and last week there was one near Faro's old town wall.
This adult bird had a pinkish flush on its breast which doesn't really show here.
