Lad a-leaping

I remembered to make a cake for #2 daughter’s birthday. It’s tomorrow but she and husband are out tonight, and get a nice lie-tomorrow, as the boys are staying overnight.

How did I get old enough to have a 43 year old daughter? When I was her age I had 3 teenagers, and here she is with 2 lads aged only 3 and 5. They were both tired when we picked them up from school and nursery. However they made the most of the fact it isn’t dark now till 5.30, so they played outside on the go-kart, then had tea. After that they perked up and made their assault course in the living room, similar to what Ella and Nathaniel had last weekend. Thomas went for more cushions while James jumped.
