A visit to the Rose Garden
It felt very 'end of Summer' when I walked in the rose garden this morning. The sun was still warm, but not excessively so.
Most of the roses have got to the tatty stage with leaves yellowing and starting to fall. The perennials are wearing more dead heads than flowers and in the massed beds of begonias, the bees and bumble bees are frantically gathering the last drops of nectar. I have never seen so many in one spot.
This rose was one of the few unblemished and whole flowers remaining. I love the color.
