Tony disappeared off to shop and pick up some birdfood and DIY supplies whilst I did a bit of what passes for housework in our house.  When I set off to Jen and Pete's for a couple of hours of decorating, Steve the fireplace man arrived to do a survey of our existing fireplace to see if we can have it completely transformed for a wood burning stove.  As usual with our house, it isn't straightforward as chimney needs cleaning and scaffolding will need erecting.  Let's see what the quote brings........
