The Shaggery

It got to 4pm and no blip. Wide Wednesday, nature- there is a lot of it out there, where will I go. Trev decided to come hunting with me and so we started with an old favourite the Sanctuary Ponds. They were an awful karitane yellow colour presumably stirred up by the storms or the tide not replenishing the water. So round the back and over the fence and there were the ducks, the swans, the scaups, the shags- five of them in this photo if you can see them, one down low. I thought this dead tree may become their new hang out - a shaggery.
The water clear here too.

It has been a busy old day getting more little jobs done, some visiting to a cousin whose brother from Chch in town. A very pleasant day, not too hot. We were home within the hour.
