Tagasaste or tree lucerne seedlings
Hairy rather than spiky.
So tiny, coming up in a patch where the parent plants have been cut back down near the cemetery and estuary. A new subdivision and a new road into the cemetery meant that quite a lot of the trees along the pathway were cut back as they developed. We all thought it looked awful but a month later with the good rains and heat we have had it is starting to look ok. There is a good wide reserve between the pathway and where the houses will be built and it looks as if they have left the tree lucernes there to act as a screen. These tiny seedlings have popped up all over and were backlit by the rising sun when Trev and I strolled by.
The topics for TT for February look interesting mindful_life. Thanks for hosting.
