Trippy Tracks
Dear Princess Normal & Dear Fellows,
This rather trippy mural is at the bottom of the cable car stop. I see it right after I've picked up odds and ends from the Countdown.
It put me in a good mood today, and I was in a good mood to start with. This is because of a film called "Phffft!" starring Jack Lemmon and Judy Holliday. And, because that does not accurately convey how much fun it was, here is a clip of Jack & Judy having a Mambo-Off.
It has actually been a fairly lazy day around the house, with lots of old films. Another favourite was "Curse of the Cat People". This was the film that helped finish off Val Lewton's career.
Forced to make a sequel to his own hit horror movie, instead he made a sad tale about a little girl saying goodbye to her imaginary friend. Not a vicious kitty in sight. I liked it though.
In our own vicious kitty news, they are glued to the back door today. I have put a "peanut cake" out there, of hi-energy bird food and the little feathery critters are going BONKERS for it. Punky and Jasper, of course, have a ringside seat.
I'll need to swab down the balcony later. A birdpoo afternoon isn't exactly appealing, but it's definitely worth it.
S.
