My Dear Fellow,

I used to watch the news every morning. But these days I cannot bear it. It is so unutterably depressing. Just the sight of any smug right-wing effwit is enough to put me in a bad mood.

Hence: Shaun the Sheep. You can always rely on Shaun to cheer you up. I know that it makes me very immature to find Timmy the farty lamb so funny, or Shirley the tubby sheep so lovable but I just do. So now Shaun, Bitzer and his pals are my favoured source of news about the world.

I hope that animation will be enough to get us through the next few years when hopefully the pendulum will swing back the other way, and I get to be the smug effwit again.

Until those days arrive... "Baaaaa!" I say.
