Words vs. actions

In this morning's class Abhijata made the point that we students often hang on the teacher's words but don't really get the actions. She said, "You know the instructions; you just don't do them." Mr. Iyengar, she said, worked on the actions first and then came up with the best words to describe them. That is what we are encouraged to do in our practice: get the actions. Let words come later.

I asked the woman getting this henna tattoo in front of the mall if I could take a picture. She said yes. In that case, words came before actions.
