Just because ....

..... I'm still celebrating my birthday:-)

An early start for all of us today, as my car had to go in for service & MOT to Dundee and my daughter agreed to drive my car with me as a passenger, while TJ and son-in-law followed in our other car.  This allowed us the freedom to do what we wanted all day until my car was ready for pick-up late afternoon.

The next instalment of my birthday surprises was a session in an Escape Room in Dundee.  None of us had even done this before, so we weren't sure what to expect, but it was brilliant fun!  The clues were quite difficult (we thought) and I found it hard to see anything for a while due to the dim lights, but once we got the hang of things we managed to find all but two of the clues in the allotted hour, so technically we failed and were locked in:-)  However, the Game Master (a girl actually) generously allowed us to get out and explained the last couple of steps which would have seen us free.  Another time, we'll be more clued up as to how to play!  A very different experience and a lovely birthday treat:-)

Then it was on to a delicious lunch at the Glass Pavilion in Broughty Ferry, followed by a wander round some shops to kill time until the car was ready (hot chocolate was needed to warm me up again!).  TJ collected Simba from the cattery and we all drove home in two cars as mine had passed its MOT with flying colours.

Final delight this evening as we're about to go out for a meal at our favourite fish restaurant in Blairgowrie and then I will finally call a halt to the celebrations:-)  Daughter and son in law fly home tomorrow and it's been so lovely seeing them again and sharing this special time with them.

Thank you all so much for the lovely birthday greetings and I promise to catch up with you later in the week. xx
