BURNS NIGHT
We are not Scottish or poets but it seemed like a great excuse!!!
Chef O came to ours to do some prep but we still spent today cooking and cleaning!!!!
# The Rev and I dressed for the occasion.
# our guests attempted my quiz on Scottish facts. (They said it was too hard)

# canapés....venison rolls, Haggis scotch eggs and smoked salmon bites
#Chef O brought M an outfit so they both looked the part.
Cock-a-leekie soup to start then this amazing meal..
#Haggis, potato and turnip boulangere, Haggis crumb rack of lamb, Haggis purée and Haggis crumb, broccoli and whisky sauce. It was amazing and the plates were scrapped clean.
We finished with a trio of desserts
Cranacan, Tipsy Laird and Sloogy pudding.
Lots and lots of various brands of whiskey were tasted alongside rather a lot of wine!!!
Thankful for.....fabulous friends and great food...we are truly blessed
