Captain ....... Scarlet

Perhaps one of the most famous films ever, this is the tale of Scarlet Ohara (played by Vivien Leigh) - a flighty piece who sets her cap at, and wins Rhett Butler (played by Clark Gable). However after much emotion, war and toil the pair go their separate ways, unable to live with each other.

He is sometimes referred to as Captain Rhett Butler, but that title doesn't appear in any synopsis I've managed to find. However, it must be correct because, as you can see, he's got three pips on his shoulder. (Boom, boom)

That should qualify for the shortest ever précis of the plot of that over-long film.
