Reading Burns Poetry

This is Iain reading a Robert Burns poem as part of a Burns night celebration at the Boathouse. This was Thursday 25th.

Burns Night is celebrated on 25th January to commemorate the life and poetry of Robert Burns, the author of many Scots poems. Traditionally, people have Haggis and Cranachan and drink whisky. A Selkirk grace is said at the start and the Address to a Haggis is recited before people eat their haggis. There's reading of Burns poems and singing of Burns songs and some places have a ceilidh.

It was a more simple celebration at the boathouse. We had some haggis and whisky and there were musicians playing and singing Burns songs and Iain reading Burns poetry. It was a nice celebration.

So, that's what I did after work on Thursday.

Thanks very much for all your lovely comments and stars. I hope you all had a good Thursday! :)
