It's in the Eyes

Fairly confident that this is a Common Goldeneye... a nice little surprise to see in the harbour on my way home from work.  He was very shy and I shocked him a bit when he dove and appeared under where I was standing.  This is after he re-surfaced after his fright....doesn't he look a little startled?  

Thank you for sharing in my excitement yesterday!  I am still elated  : )
