MonoMonday 209

I visited the Currier Museum of Art today on a special mission.  Really honored to be asked to join a group of Art Educators and Parents to present a very special 4 session  journey for parents who have children with Substance Use Disorder.  A quiet time of respite and hope for their minds and spirit.  It's called the The Art Of Hope and each week they will be introduced to one or more paintings and have the museum staff explain some of the dynamics of the piece, opening up a discussion, they will then participate in a creative activity and finally have a chance to connect with Parent coaches who have experienced the same issues and be given some hope and guidance in self-care.  It starts 2 weeks from this evening and will be a wonderful opportunity to help give hope and enter the museum and browse around, something I always mean to get to, but don't do often enough.

The theme for this week is Fantasy and I think this woman is fantasizing about being in Australia where there is no snow and the temperatures are conducive to sitting naked.  Many thanks to Skeena for hosting this long lived challenge.
