African Art
We were out of our luxury Cape Town apartment that was home from home for the past fortnight, to travel to our Stellenbosch hotel where we will be staying for the next two nights.
The drive east out of Cape Town along the N2 took us past the worst of South Africa, the shanty towns which went on for miles. Arriving in Stellenbosch wine region was a real contrast of lovely scenery and old quaint monied areas. Our room wasn't ready so we had a walk around Stellenbosch and I only took a few photo's. The one I like a lot is of a shop displaying wooden carved African Art - the speciality seeming to be Giraffes - any size or colour catered for!
This evening we drove to Somerset West to spend a few hours with Mike and Julie for a Braai (bar-b-cue) which we thoroughly enjoyed. My cousin looks after their UK home.
