Landing Wheels Down!
A mini blip meet-up with friends Will and Paul took place on one of the wettest and dullest days at RHS Wisley. After the first of a number of coffee/lunch/hot chocolate/etc. breaks we headed into the Glasshouse for the annual Butterfly fix.
A goodly part of the afternoon was spent in the bird hide. We were hoping to see the Kingfisher, but clearly it was being sensible in staying out of the rain. However, we were treated to a continuous stream of finches and tits visiting the feeders provided by the RHS staff. Will let me borrow his 400mm lens (too heavy for me - but a lovely lens) and his 70-200mm L f4 IS USM lens - oh dear - I think the flexible friend is going to get some exercise!
