El Niño Food Market

My suitcase made its appearance mid-morning and didn't look sheepish at all for having decided to take off for an extra night's holiday to an unknown destination!

Problems sorting out my Spotify account...well, two of them actually...and that's what was was causing the problem.  Took me ages to work it and get it fixed, but I was keen to get it done before I travel again. Success eventuallly!

Not nearly as big a success as Bb's receiving the notification in a registered letter that our little passageway has finally been recognised and approved as being private!!  We're really delighted and hats off to our street president (Barrioboy) for all his hard work.  Now we can start to look at gate designs etc and present plans to the local council.  The project isn't finished yet!

My blip's of a fantastic refurbished market (re-opened 3 years ago) we rediscovered.  Not a great blip, but it's really lovely and not too far away.  And they deliver too!  We talked to a couple of the stall owners as we walked around and heard that it has fewer stands than the old market, but each one is bigger and the 'aisles' are very wide as you can see in the pic, so it's comfortable even when lots of people are there with their shopping trolleys (an essential Spanish accessory here).  The delivery system works by each stall holder writing down your order on a pre-printed sheet of paper which you pick up at the start of shopping.  You then hand in the completed sheet of paper to the delivery desk and they pick up all your shopping from the different stands and deliver it to your door usually within 3 hours.  For us, it means we could do our shopping on a Friday night (it's open till 9pm Mon-Sat) and then have something to eat locally (bags-free) and have our shopping delivered on the Saturday  morning.  It was good to see a few stallholders at least starting to wrap with paper instead of plastic too.
