Dumyat

We went to Stirling for an evening talk about the ice age in Scotland. As it was a lovely day after the overnight snow we went at lunchtime to go up Dumyat. We decided to go from Menstrie as that side was sheltered from the wind. There was a surprising amount of snow in places with drifts of more than a metre that made it hard work at times. We arrived at the top at the same time as a snow shower and I was fortunate to get a shot of the view south west for the blip. The first extra is a hardy girl and her bike just as she was setting off down. It was very cold and windy for about 10 minutes and we sheltered in the lee of the beacon at the top hoping for a clearance, which duly came so the second extra is again the view south west.

Yesterday’s blip.
