Cymbidium and Snow
I finished painting the sitting room this morning, and we've just put the curtains back up. It's amazing how much warmer the room feels now.
Outside there's still plenty of snow, and we've had a couple of falls this afternoon. Not enough to block the road, thankfully.
One of the cymbidium orchids is in flower. It must be about fifteen years old and thrives on neglect. It goes outside in the summer and spends most of the rest of its life in the front porch, which we never use. For a month or so, when the flowers appear, it gets to come into the dining room to show off. So here it is, for Flower Friday, with a snow-filled garden in the background. Thanks, as ever, to BikerBear for hosting this lovely challenge.
