Geometry

This afternoon I took a shortcut to get to the patchwork class, down a lane which is lined on one side with a series of these blocks. 

Maybe I was already thinking in terms of shapes and colours chopped up and joined together to make different patterns. 

I looked at the photos I took and wondered if I could work them up into a quilt design. And decided that it would be far too busy.
