Early Morning Bedroom View

Landscapes, snow, sunrise/sunset...it's all a bit 'cliche' but it's what I've got today. Maybe I'm a bit cliche today and that's okay. I woke up, while rubbing eyes, looked out at my view from my bed and saw the sun poking its head up behind the trees. So before looking for my glasses (or brushing my teeth) I jogged down the hall to retrieve my camera, knowing that THE perfect shot may well have passed. I clicked a few and then stopped to watch. It was nearly over by then but it makes me happy to see a sunrise no matter how cliche the shot might be. First, it's nice to be up early enough to watch the day begin. And then it's such an uplifting feeling to see that sun after a long night of darkness. It never fails us.

Mr. Mellow and I are off for an overnight adventure to watch the bald eagles fishing off the dam at Starved Rock.
