Toboggan Run

Last night there was a weather warning for West Lothian ........ don't go out after 9am - there will be winds strong enough  to cause building damage with blizzards and temperatures well below zero.

This morning when I went out with PD there was not a breath of wind, no more snow and it was a couple of degrees above freezing.
Maybe that is why the snowman had a smug look on his face - on maybe it was because he was doing the Saturday Night Fever Dance.

SWMBO and I went out for breakfast - two for one and our free hot drinks for under a fiver. If she had remembered she had a voucher it would have cost us about 10p.
We then dropped in to her her mother .......... no improvement yet.

Talking of no health ...... PD apparently has paws which are too hairy. The hairs are growing up into he skin between his toes which is why he keep getting infections. I suggested shaving his feet but (obviously it was suggested to the dermatologist) that would make the hairs stronger and be worse. I wonder if they asked about laser hair removal.

For the afternoon walk I put on my walking shoes. 
That was a mistake!
I would have got more grip wearing well waxed skis! I am told by a reliable source that they will have too much nylon in the soles and not enough rubber (a cost issue).

I spent a fair time in the garage making a start on the shelter for Jay when he is allowed out.


EDIT ........... I forgot to say that I was inspired by yesterday's blip by Dennis and took some shots of SWMBO's roses - of the 5 I have put up I think I like this one the most
