back to reality

We drove home from Annie and Daniel’s this morning, had lunch, and then I took Marius to crèche. He was a bit disconcerted at first as we’ve been away for a few days, but then quickly settled.

We have started a new cows milk routine as a way to begin weaning him from breastfeeding. I’m sad about stopping but also looking forward to it in a way as well. He’s taking 3 bottles of cows milk a day - one before each nap and then one before he goes to bed. He still gets a feed from me in the morning. So, today for the first time, he got a bottle at crèche!

Pierre had a meeting about a course he’s supposed to be starting next week. He’s had no confirmation as yet and it’s supposed to start on Monday for 7 months! The lady who held the meeting is pretty sure it’s going to be fine but it’s a bit much them keeping him hanging like that. Especially as it’s in-house and in MARSEILLE! I’m dreading it but also very happy that it will mean more opportunities to him in the future.

I received this beautiful card from my friend Charlotte today. It’s got pictures of us with our friend Jen and our babies. I was very touched.
