A nurturing male

Evan's favorite book is "Mother Bruce," a book about "unconventional families" and a male bear reluctantly pressed into service as mama to four goslings. Evan told me he wanted to read the book to his reindeer, and he became so involved in telling the story that he didn't notice the camera. He is developing a gentle, nurturing nature, and I wish all little boys had the opportunity to do so. 

Later on Evan and I collected Bella from school, went on a little neighborhood adventure, and made an "us-ie" in one of our favorite spots (Extra). When I came home and looked at the blip Bella and I made in the same spot three years ago, I realized Bella was wearing the same sweater today as she wore then. It fits her rather differently now.
