Trees and Power Lines

My intent was to photograph these two trees and the way they seem to have had a chopped off top to avoid the utility lines.  Also, the way the limbs seem white/light while the trunk stays dark caught my attention.  I drove to this site today and took 11 photos.  My intent was to focus as much as possible on the trees and the way they are trimmed to avoid the  power lines above them.  I am not certain the above is what I wanted, but I'd be happy to hear your thoughts.  My guess was that cropping the photo to make the trees larger would eliminate their relationship to the lines.  Also, in order to make a straight on shot of the trees and little church would have caused me to trespass on property where I would not have been welcome.  Anyway, thanks for looking.
