Puss at the Palace

After a lunch of abundant leftovers from lastnight, went on a road trip with the Padre and other friends this afternoon - to Vila Viçosa, yet another gorgeous Alentejano town - this one houses the summer palace of the Bragança dynasty - an impressively huge and opulent building, filled with treasures. The whole front, with its 365 windows, is covered in different colours of marble from the nearby quarries. Bone-chillingly cold, both inside and out!

Difficult to choose a photo, but thought it more important to remember the folk rather than the architecture - this was on the way out of the palace.
