Morning Walk

A morning walk at Emsworth to clear our heads.  Although it was cool out, there was no wind so it felt relatively mild.  The chinks of bright light coming through the clouds made beautiful reflections off of the surface of the water.  We saw lots of birds including wigeon, godwits, and Brent geese and were lucky enough to see a kingfisher flying past along the shore.  Back at the pond next to the sea, miniature yachts were being raced (see Extra).  We stopped for a time to watch them making their way around the buoys which mark out the race course but it was too chilly to stand still for long.

Its only 2pm and the light is already feeling quite faint so this afternoon I think I might sit down with my Vivian Maier book and my knitting.  Hoping you are all having a relaxing Sunday.
