Puzzled

Saturday has been as crammed as ever. The prospect of selecting a builder for our works on the house has suddenly shifted closer. So to the usual activities - and the daily hospital visit- we added visits back to showrooms to confirm that what we liked in 2017 all those months ago feature in the 2018 catalogue.

To our relief they do. And the current sale galvanised us into selecting some tiles for the wet room / kitchen. All of this may be a bit premature as we still have to discuss detailed templates/ floor space etc with the architect tomorrow afternoon: but the benefits of ordering now and storing (somewhere!) cannot be ignored.

On our travels, just near the Hermitage park, I spotted what looked like dry cleaning hanging on a road sign at a junction. There will be a story behind this:from it having been dropped and found, to it being left deliberately for someone.

Evening spent clearing space in the attic and being ruthless over what is kept. And seeking to freshen up the house after our dinner of some wonderful Loch Fyne kippers. They were beautiful and went well with some of my home made soda bread and a creme fraiche, horseradish and lemon dressing.

But boy does the smell linger in the air!
