E44

Today I got to drive one of my favourite roads again. This used to be the route we took when G had to do her visa runs. Then there was a change in policy and foreigners are no longer allowed to access a shortcut to get to the Oman border, so we had to use the E102 which is OK but not as scenic and varied as the E44.

Prior to this, we visited the Grand Hyatt to check out their cakes for our little celebration on Monday. It occurred to us that we haven't been here for over a year, so it was nice to see it again and note a number of changes.

I have to credit G with the main image and the second extra of driving back into Dubai and seeing the skyline - a view we love. We had a spectacular sunset.
