In the shadows

We had a gloomy day today as it tried to rain off and on.  I was hoping for some pops of sunshine to try to get a monochrome abstract..everything was so gray that nothing really worked for me.   And I am not much on editing to make something work.    But late today I was looking at some walking sticks that we have leaning against the hearth..they have faces carved on them.  The shadows worked to make them a little spooky in the abstract.
