Memory Loss
Set off on a bike ride today, south to the Vale of Pickering; partly because it is flat and partly because the mist and fog were still lying heavily on the Moor. We made our way down to, and then along, the Howardian Hills, before heading North. During a rather excellent "breakfast" at Bridgit's cafe in Kikbymoorside, we discussed how we could get back without having to tackle a rather steep hill and remembered a ford across a river with a footbridge that we had walked over on day one. What we had forgotten was that the route then went up a very steep and quite long track to the road. And that it was not tarmacced.
