Fog on t'moors

With the ice largely gone, we set out on our bikes. About 5 miles, all uphill, from Hutton-Le-hole through mist and fog with red grouse flying back and forth out of the gloom. Then down through more fog and mist to Rosedale to dry out in an excellent cafe. We had chosen a sensible route, avoiding one that had 5 arrows marked on the map and was, we were told, so steep that Team Sky riders fell off their bikes as their back wheels left the ground when they attempted to descend whilst reconnoitering the route for the Tour of Yorkshire.
