A Pawtrait

It was a miserable and boring day today, just dull, damp and grey. I have hardly been outside, and have spent much of the day at my computer doing stuff. Even Murdoch did not want to go outside - when I opened the back door he put one foot out, sniffed the air and came straight back in again! He is my subject today,looking all neat and trimmed after his visit to the groomer yesterday.

I booked some driving lessons for Thomas today - he turns 17 next week and I cannot believe that he is finally at the age where he will soon be driving. When the boys were little they had a toy battery operated jeep car that they could drive - it was Luke's then handed down to Adam and finally Thomas got it. Our old neighbours still remember the day when there was a tailback of traffic in the road near our house, when Thomas, aged about 4 years old, had driven out unnoticed from our property and driven down the road in this little red jeep, until a motorist had stopped and returned him home! It was a quiet road and the motorists were very patient and amused by the incident! So as you can see he has been keen to drive from his early days!
