Jesus' view
That lucky b****rd, he gets to look at this everyday!
Today we went up to the Corcovado monument (Giant Jesus on top of the hill). As ever we'd planned things to perfection, we had decided to go up on the 2nd busiest weekend in Rio after Carnival. So it was rammed! Credit goes to the organisation up there. Although it looks like the most chaotic place on earth it was extremely fast and efficient at getting people up and down.
The views were simply spectacular! There was so much to see and I could blipped several other views. This picture won the race to the publish button because of the Sugar loaf mountain (far left) and Copacabana beach combo. Neither of which I have blipped yet.
It was a hectic day but enjoyable, it was one of the things I've always wanted to see and do for some odd reason. The clouds rolled in shortly after we'd finished our Jesus snapping and we were really in them, I felt a bit bad for the people that had just arrived as they had no view!
While we were up there we got visits from helicopters and hang-gliders they definitely had the right idea of how to view the magnificent monument.
