Hadn't coughed in the night so went up to the West end for the first yoga session of the year - it felt good, though quite a stretch!

Even when I returned around the middle of the day in bright sunshine, the Water of Leith was still partially frozen over. Air temp was only just over zero all day, and with a bit of wind chill it was probably just below.

That is indeed a bus that you can see going over the Sandport Place bridge in a break from habit - buses diverted in Leith via some very non-obvious routes (re-surfacing in Gt Junction St) and up at Haymarket too. Why suddenly start doing lots of road works now? Oh, of course, any sooner and it might have inconvenienced the festive visitors.
