Alberts fighting spirit
This is a bit of a back blip, due to technical issues with blipfoto and dodgy Internet access.
Another good day on Thursday, but a little bit more rain than on previous days. We popped into town first thing, where I took this picture of the yellow phone boxes.
In the afternoon we ignored the driving wind and rain to walk along the coast around port soif and the driving range.
Late afternoon we made a visit to Albert, a chap of 87, who became friends with my dad when they were both in hospital on guernsey 18 years ago. They kept in touch and dad always visited him and his wife Eva. They both looked well, despite Albert just being diagnosed with lung cancer. 'I'll go when I'm ready' he said! You can't knock his attitude to it!
Another great meal at Fermain valley hotel, before a relatively early night.
