One Down
A forlorn Gussie looking for Joshua who left early this morning, leave finished.
Seventeen, in this day and age teenagers often get a bad press but to see a sad and desolate young lad getting on a train for a seven hour journey ‘up north’, separated from his family but going because it’s the life he’s chosen is tough not just for him but for his Mum and Dad as well.
I have huge pride in all four of my children but as the ‘baby’ and the last to fly the nest I guess Joshua tugs at the heart strings or could it be that as a military family we know and understand the life he’s chosen.
It’s going to be a quieter night tonight.
