In the calm of the evening
11.3C. Rain until 3pm or so then drier and brightening.
A relaxing day today as it was clear that the rain was not going off any time soon! Late afternoon the rain went off and Maeve the Deerhound and I were soon off out for a walk when we saw it was drying up. We headed down the road to the shore and then went over the road bridge across the railway line and down to Westhaven. We walked along by the cottages to the Fishermen's huts and had a look around. Almost all of the boats are under tarpaulins and various other plastic sheeting and lashed securely.
Maeve and I went down onto the wet sand and had a look at the creel rack, then slowly wandered down to the waters edge and enjoyed the view out to sea. Not long not we thought, until we will be on the other side of the country looking at very different scenery.
Later there shall be chocolate and pink sparkly wine :-)
