USS Missouri

These are the forward guns on the USS Missouri. The Japanese signed the instrument of surrender on this battleship on Sept. 2, 1945 (see extra photo).

This is, of course, at Pearl Harbor. We also visited the submarine USS Bowfin. We weren't able to get to the USS Arizona Memorial because the tickets were sold out through the middle of January.

We also visited the Pacific Aviation Museum, which is where the other extra photo is. That's Swam Ghost, a B-17 Flying Fortress that crashed in the jungle in New Guinea during World War II.
