There's always one...
There is a large amount of generally unsubstantiated lore about Christmas Trees - how they came to be, how they reflect various aspects of a) Christiantity, b) Paganism, c) Victorian England or d) lots of other stuff. The tree must be decorated just so, and remain up until twelfth night...
One thing is for sure though; whenever you take the tree down you'll always leave one decoration behind. Here's the Lord of the Winter Woodland in his hippy guise, tripping along with the reindeer and missing the bus box home. One too many amanita mushrooms...
Our tree is now preparing for it's ritual immolation later in the month. Burns so well, it'll add some crackle to the birthday dance around the chiminea in a few weeks. ;-)
