La Fortuna
Last night’s night walk was amazing. A real feast for the senses, if a little scary what with all the potentially venemous creatures we saw, not to mind the ones we didn’t see. The viper was cute, the tarantula hairy, the scorpion ugly and the sloth, well like a sloth, and awake and moving.
The wild weather and the 3 spiders I found in my room however made for a poor night’s sleep. (Spiders don’t usually bother me but after the hike I was on high alert....)
Today’s trip in the fog and rain brought us
by bus and boat to La Fortuna, at the base of the dormant Arenal Volcano. We’re still in the rainforest and it’s warm, wet and sticky. Tonight will see us spend a couple of hours in the natural hot springs. Tomorrow may be a big day. All Good.
