Un Coeur, Une Cour

We woke up to blue skies and sunshine this morning, so we walked into the centre of Waterloo to have brunch with our friends before they left this afternoon.

Everywhere was very busy as it's Polling day for the local elections, and we had to wait a while to get a table, but it was worth it. Then after brunch we stopped off at the Godiva chocolate shop and cafe for a glass of champagne.

On our walk home we passed a wooden gate with hearts carved out of the wood, so I peered through and saw this wonderful little courtyard. It's very rustic and looks great close up. My title is a slight play on words which translated into English means 'One Heart, One Courtyard'.

After a fairly active weekend, we're now having a relaxing afternoon at home, but may nip to our local brasserie for a drink later. Hope you're having a good weekend!
