Old and New

Hew Years Day walk by the River Tyne.  I like the contrast between the old (St Nicholas Cathedral, the Keep, etc) and the new.  Nice calm day and fairly mild too.  We started our walk about 10.30 and there weren't many people around - mainly dog walkers.

Hope you had a good New Years Eve.  Just a quiet one for us - a nice meal and then watching TV - especially the fireworks in London.  Lots of fireworks going off here too at midnight.
